AliMed® Anti-Thrust Wheelchair Cushion with Convex Base has a contoured bottom that offers a low-profile solution to sagging wheelchair sling seats by ensuring a level seating surface with minimal seat rise. Higher front surface with lower rear surface reduces forward thrust and sacral sitting while maintaining pelvic neutrality. Pre-ischial bar helps prevent forward migration of the ischial tuberosities. Also helpful when extensor tone is present. Effective alternative to pommel wheelchair cushions, particularly for male patients. Removable, water-resistant Black AliTex™ (polyurethane-backed polyester stretch knit) cover with nonskid vinyl base is fully launderable with rear ties for security. Available in 16″W or 18″W options with Polyfoam only or with T-Gel™ overlay to reduce friction and skin shear.
