AliMed® FREEDOM® SoftGel Thumb Spica combines the support of a thumb spica with mineral oil-infused gel to soothe and shape the surgical incision while providing effective, protective positioning and restriction of painful thumb joints. Place 1/8″-thick gel insert anywhere in the splint interior to help manage scars. Semirigid splint offers protection from trauma and is held in place by wide elastic straps for greater comfort. AliPlast™ shell consists of heat-moldable foam that can be spot-adjusted with a heat gun or easily trimmed with scissors so the distal edge of thumb post doesn’t interfere with the IP joint motion.
