About AliMed® NickelPlast™: This high-strength, expanded orthotic material has outstanding uniformity. It is tough, tear-resistant, and resists bottoming out, offering a resilient, rubbery quality not found in simpler, cross-linked polyethylene materials. When heated for a few minutes, it yields easily to complex molding and shaping and shrinks about 15% when thoroughly heated. When cool, it hardens approximately five Shore A points. Use for PTB, AK, or BK socket liners, insoles, foot orthotic postings, and other applications where long wear and resilience is necessary.
