Ross Information Processing Assessment-Geriatric, 2nd. Ed. (RIPA-G2), by Deborah Ross-Swain and Paul Fogle, is an individually administered test that assesses cognitive-linguistic deficits in geriatric clients (55 years and older). Speech-language pathologists, neuropsychologists, psychologists, and other rehabilitation professionals can use the test. Streamlined to 7 subtests, this individually administered test takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Subtests include: immediate memory, temporal orientation, spatial orientation, general information, situational knowledge, categorical vocabulary, and listening comprehension. It can be used to diagnose (mild, moderate, or severe) cognitive-linguistic problems and to do research that focuses on the cognitive processing in the elderly population.
